Worship, RM. 12:1-2 (TPT), “Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be His sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights His heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.

“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in His eyes.”

What is genuine worship? Is it a song service or prayer time… maybe preaching time? Worship can and does include all of these, but it’s so much more. Our current culture also has many things that we could call worship — sports, entertainment, work, style, status and yes, money! All of these will fade away!

Jesus told the woman at the well in John 4:23-24 (TPT), “From now on, worshiping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with a right heart. For God is a Spirit, and He longs to have sincere worshipers who adore Him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth.”
