Upon, Mat. 12:16-21 (TPT), “However, He sternly warned them not to tell others or disclose His real identity, in order to fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah(42:1-4).

“Take a careful look at My servant, My chosen one. I love Him dearly and I find all My delight in Him. I will breathe My Spirit upon Him and He will decree justice to the nations. He will not quarrel or raise His voice in public. He won’t brush aside the bruised and broken. He will be gentle with the weak and feeble, until His victory releases justice. And the fame of His name will birth hope among the people.”

There’s so much here, and so little space to describe the following scenes. Isaiah prophesied that the Spirit of God would be upon Jesus. When John baptized Jesus, Holy Spirit came upon Him. When Samuel anointed David king, the Spirit came upon him. Peter was preaching to some gentiles, and Holy Spirit interrupted his message and fell upon them. In the upper room, Holy Spirit fell on 120 people. I wonder how many more that day? (Scripture tells us thousands were added to the church.)

We know Holy Spirit has come and made a home inside us, but what about upon us? There are times I feel His presence upon me to help others, not just in me for me sake. How about you?

Holy Spirit, please fall upon us with your power to change our communities and spread goodness upon the whole earth! - Amen.
