Purpose, Dan. 1:8-9 & 15 (NKJV), “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs.”

“And at the end of ten days their features appeared better and fatter in flesh than all the young men who ate the portion of the king’s delicacies.”

Daniel and his three friends were in the king’s court but not of it. And, after a ten day test, they were stronger and smarter than others in the king’s training program. We are in a culture that really doesn’t embrace the Kingdom of Daddy God. We are to be the change agents in our cultures — the solution solvers, not the complainers. Just like another young man, Jeremiah (Jer. 1:10), we have been given authority over nations and kingdoms of our culture. Today, purpose in your heart not to be swayed by our culture. Instead, be the answer and solution for its problems.
