Discipline, Heb. 12:11-13 (The Passion Translation), “Now all discipline seems to be painful at the time, yet later it will produce a transformation of character, bringing a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who yield to it.

“So be made strong even in your weakness by lifting up your tired hands in prayer and worship. And strengthen your weak knees, for as you keep walking forward on God’s paths all your stumbling ways will be divinely healed!”

The word discipline here could also be training, equipping, correction or instruction. We seem to drift toward the negative meaning of words. Discipline is a course correction, not punishment because we have done something wrong or bad. It’s used here so we may make adjustments to our journey.

So look at discipline as a positive thing, not something bad. Daddy God loves us so much He will guide us along the way. Look for the nuggets of love on your journey through life!
