Association — “From now on, the idea of fate or any sense of judgment when you are faced with famine, is no longer relevant. Since you are blessed with a brand new reference of a far greater reality, where you are abundantly sustained and fully satisfied in lush green pastures. Your reason for weeping, is now transformed into blissful laughter and ecstatic joy. because of your association with Me as the son of man, people hate, de-friend, gossip, block and exclude you, or even slander and embarrass you by dragging your name through the mud, making you out to be somebody evil. Your social standing and recognition is no longer based on how popular you are in the typical religious world.” (Luke 6:21-22, The Mirror Bible)

The people we associate with can sometimes cause others to question who we really are. They can even make false judgements just because they have heard or thought that weren’t true. It happened with many who followed Jesus. The religious system fought against Him, mainly because He exposed their hypocrisy. The same thing is still going on. Now we have whole denominations who speaks bad about other ones or about anyone who doesn’t think like they do.

Being associated with Christ may cause some to reject you and say all kinds of evil. But the bottom line is that we are blessed beyond what we can even think or dream because of our association with Christ!
