Trust, PSA. 22:4-5 (TPT), “Our fathers’ faith was in You— through the generations they trusted in You and You came through. Every time they cried out to You in their despair, You were faithful to deliver them; You didn’t disappoint them.” 

There are 39 times trust is mentioned in the Psalms alone. Trust is different than faith, even though they seem the same. Faith is not based on physical proof, and trust comes from past experiences or examples. So we can look to the saints of old and base our trust on their experiences. We can trust Daddy God at His word because we have examples to look at. 

I read this quote by David Wilkerson that the trusting heart always says, “All my steps are ordered by the Lord. He is my loving Father, and He permits my sufferings, temptations and trials but never more than I can bear. He always makes a way of escape. He has an eternal plan and purpose for me. He has numbered every hair on my head, and He formed all my parts when I was in my mother’s womb. He knows when I sit, stand or lie down because I am the apple of His eye. He is Lord not just over me but over every event and situation that touches me.”

Words that we can live by! Let them soak deep into your spirit!
