Generosity, LK.6:38 (The Passion Translation), “Give generously and generous gifts will be given back to you, shaken down to make room for more. Abundant gifts will pour out upon you with such an overflowing measure that it will run over the top! The measurement of your generosity becomes the measurement of your return.”

When people start talking about giving, we automatically think of money! It’s like we’re on autopilot stuck in one direction. There is so much more to giving than just money. Yes, we should be ready to give money when it’s needed. 

We don’t hear the impact of ‘gifts’ in this verse; it seems to fade. Your time, love, caring are part of these gifts that will return pressed down and shaken together and running over. Money doesn’t solve all problems, but love will. Be generous in your love and watch what comes back to you!
