Holy Spirit — “I am telling you this while I am still with you. But when the Father sends the Spirit of Holiness, the One like Me who sets you free, He will teach you all things in My name. And He will inspire you to remember every word that I’ve told you. “I leave the gift of peace with you—My peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but My perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!” (John 14:25-27, The Passion Translation)

In today’s world culture we hear a lot about spirits talking to and leading people. But are these spirits the Spirit Jesus was talking about? How can we tell if the spirit that’s talking to us is from Jesus?

The first key would be to check if you are filled with peace. The next would be to ask if they are telling you things Jesus taught. So, if you’re encountering a spirit that brings confusion, fear, and lack of peace then you can count it’s not Holy Spirit!

Holy Spirit is here to help guide us into freedom, peace, and the wisdom that Jesus taught us. “But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.” (Galatians 5:22-23, TPT)

So if you have a spirit thats not guiding you towards Daddy God. Ask Holy Spirit to come and send it away!
