Traditions, RM. 12:2 (The Mirror Bible), “Do not allow current religious tradition to mold you into its pattern of reasoning. Like an inspired artist, give attention to the detail of God’s desire to find expression in you. Become acquainted with perfection. To accommodate yourself to the delight and good pleasure of him will transform your thoughts afresh from within.”

This has been going on from the beginning — men making traditions. Most aren’t bad or wrong, but we can make them bigger than Daddy God’s purpose for our culture and world. Mark tells us that our traditions can make the word of God of no effect (7:13).

Let’s not keep our traditions for traditions sake! But rather, let’s be lead by Holy Spirit in all we do.
