Expect, JN. 10”9-11 (The Passion Translation), “To enter through Me is to experience life, freedom, and satisfaction A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow! I am the Good Shepherd who lays down my life as a sacrifice for the sheep.”

Once we have the revelation that Christ came and gave up not only His Divinity but also His life as a human. What is our expectation of what He will do for you?  Do we believe all of our troubles will simply go away or that He will fight our battles for us? He came to do more than we expect. He came to empower us to win with Him. It’s a healthy relationship — not one where we sit back and get Him to do everything we want.

We have an enemy that tries to steal and destroy all that Jesus accomplished. Remember that our enemy is still a created being, not an equal to Jesus! No matter what our adversary does or says, the only true power he has is the power we give him. Jesus came and gave us everything in abundance. He gave us way more that we expect. He also came and made His home among us and in us!
