Overseer

Daily Vitamin

Overseer — “The overseer, since he serves God’s household, must be someone of blameless character and not be opinionated or short-tempered. He must not be a drunkard or violent or greedy. Instead he should be one who is known for his hospitality and a lover of goodness. He should be recognized as one who is fair-minded, pure-hearted, and self-controlled. He must have a firm grasp of the trustworthy message that he has been taught. This will enable him to both encourage others with healthy teachings and provide convincing answers to those who oppose his message.” (Titus 1:7-9, The Passion Translation)

Overseer qualities shouldn’t be seen as just for the church. Whether you lead in a business, school, family, government or in your friendships, we are all called at one time or another to lead in some capacity. We have all probably been lead by a leader who shouldn’t have been one. Our society is full of selfish and controlling people.

Let us lead and be led by these qualities that Paul is teaching Timothy so we can serve others in humility and love!

Be a Blessing,

Sir Gregory
