Sharing — “Your surplus could meet their need, and their abundance may one day meet your need. This equal sharing of abundance will mean a fair balance. As it is written: The one who gathered much didn’t have too much, and the one who gathered little didn’t have too little.” (2 Corinthians 8:14-15, The Passion Translation)

We all have times of abundance and times of lack. When we learn how to share in our times of abundance, the times of lack seem to become less and our needs seem to always be met — whether they are great or small. The Israelites learned to gather enough during the desert years. Each learned from their ‘needs’ not their ‘greeds’!

“So when they measured it by omers, he who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack. Every man had gathered according to each one’s need.” (Exodus 16:18, NKJV)

Let’s learn to share and not to hoard so that everyone has enough!
