Examine, 2 Cor. 13:5 (The Mirror Bible), “I implore you to examine faith for yourselves in order to test what it is that you really believe. Faith is so much more than the mere veneer of a superstitious belief in a historic Christ; faith is about realizing Jesus Christ in you, in the midst of contradiction. Just as ore is placed into a crucible, where the dross is separated from the gold in a furnace, come to the conclusion for yourselves of His indwelling. Should it appear to you that He is absent in your life, look again, you have obviously done the test wrong.”

Just like when we buy something, we examine it. But it normally doesn’t stop there, we continue to examine it thoroughly. Just like with our faith, it’s a good thing to revisit our beliefs and examine them thoroughly, making adjustments to what we thought was true or not.

It’s the same today as it was in Paul’s day. We still have the ability to ask Holy Spirit to correct us and make any course changes we might need. Won’t you join me on this journey and exam what we truly believe?
