Ordinary, Acts 4:13-14 (TPT), “The council members were astonished as they witnessed the bold courage of Peter and John, especially when they discovered that they were just ordinary men who had never had religious training. Then they began to understand the effect Jesus had on them simply by spending time with Him. Standing there with them was the healed man, and there was nothing further they could say.”

What is ordinary? Some translations use the word uneducated, untrained, plain. Peter and John were just everyday people. Yet they had extraordinary abilities. The religious didn’t understand how this could be. It’s the same today. People don’t understand how spending time with Jesus takes you from being ordinary to extraordinary. The religious couldn’t understand that back then. They still don’t get it today until they see the effects of a life spent with Jesus, which changes not only the ordinary person but the culture, community and the world around them! Spend some time with Jesus and watch your ordinary life become extraordinary!
