Tears — “He said to them, “Where did you bury him?” “Lord, come with us and we’ll show you,” they replied. Then tears streamed down Jesus’ face. Seeing Jesus weep caused many of the mourners to say, “Look how much He loved Lazarus.” (John 11:34-35, The Passion Translation)

How much does Jesus love us? He wept for more people than just Lazarus. Jesus had compassion for everyone. All through Matthew, it’s recorded that He looked out at the people and felt compassion for them. Jesus’ tears show us compassion at work!

In Psalms it says, “You’ve kept track of all my wandering and my weeping. You’ve stored my many tears in your bottle—not one will be lost. For they are all recorded in your book of remembrance.” (Psalms 56:8, TPT)

What about us? Do we have tears for those who are lost, sick, or wandering? When we shed tears for others in pain or suffering injustice, Daddy God will store up our tears.
