Daily Vitamin

Ways — “The Lord executes righteousness, and justice for all who are oppressed. He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.” (Psalms 103:6-8, New King James Version)

Many times we use the excuse that “we’re only human.” There are many examples of ‘only-humans’ that knew Daddy Gods ways — Moses, Noah, Enoch, and the Prophets to name just a few.  We use Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV), “‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.’” We use that as an excuse to explain our behavior, but in context this was spoken to a people in rebellion to Daddy God’s ways!

Peter tells us in Acts 10:34b (KJV), “Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.” So we can know Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirits ways, not just Their acts! Just like getting to know our spouse or friends, it takes time. Let’s become ‘God-folk’ and not just ‘church-folk’!
