Love, 1 Cor. 13:1-2 (TPT), “If I were to speak with eloquence in earth’s many languages, and in the heavenly tongues of angels, yet I didn’t express myself with love, my words would be reduced to the hollow sound of nothing more than a clanging cymbal.
“And if I were to have the gift of prophecy with a profound understanding of God’s hidden secrets, and if I possessed unending supernatural knowledge, and if I had the greatest gift of faith that could move mountains, but have never learned to love, then I am nothing.”
We call 1 Corinthians 13 the love chapter. It does describe it well. The word in the Greek used in most of this chapter is agape, which is probably the highest and truest form of love. The Aramaic word for love is hooba, and it means “to set on fire”. I like that! Is your love on fire or burning? Is your love full of passion? Or is love just a word we use to try and describe our feelings?
Church, our culture and the world need passionate on-fire lovers of Daddy God and His creation. Authentic love changes the atmosphere! Let’s be change agents today. We can change the world. It was turned upside down by Jesus and twelve men. We have a lot more on our side. Let’s turn the world back to its foundation of Love. God so loved the world that He created us!
Be a Blessing, Sir Gregory
