Prayer, Eph. 6:18-19 (The Mirror Bible), “Prayer is an ongoing conversation; praying in the spirit includes every form of prayer, whether it be a prayer of request or a prayer of thanksgiving, or worship or interceding for all to realize their saintly innocence. Oh, and remember, you do not have to do all the talking! Always be attentive to the voice of the Spirit. (Prayer is so much more than a one-way conversation.)
“My most urgent request is for clarity of utterance every time I open my mouth to speak. I desire that my words will be gifted with inspiration, boldly articulating the mystery of the gospel.”
Prayer has many forms. Prayer can be quiet, loud, individual, group, deep, interceding, requesting, sorrowful, joyful, thankful… to name just a few. Paul asked that he receive boldness in his prayers so he could share the gospel with clarity.
There are two prayers most lacking in the body of Christ’s followers. One would be quietness — listening for the voice of Daddy God. And the other would be corporate prayer. Even in times of gathering for prayer, only one or two will typically pray. We should all pray something. Doesn’t have to be eloquent. Your voice is important for the whole. We are all part of Christ’s body and every voice needs to be heard.
Let’s pray together vocally. Your world needs you!
Be a Blessing, Sir Gregory
