Busy — “The Lord answered her, “Martha, My beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at My feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.” (Luke 10:41-42, The Passion Translation)

This rings loud to a lot of us — busy, busy! Often we spend our time with distractions that really don’t matter! We get in the car and immediately turn on the radio. Or we come home and the first thing we do is turn on the TV. How about early in the morning? We look at our phones right away out of habit without even thinking.

Many say that Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit don’t talk to them. They say they can’t hear Them speak. But Jeremiah tells us otherwise. “I, YAHWEH, made the earth, formed its contours, and set it in place. YAHWEH is my name. I say to you, cry out to Me and I will answer you. I will reveal to you great things, guarded secrets that you never could have known.” (Jeremiah 33:2-3, TPT)

Maybe the problem is that we are more like Martha who didn’t take the time to be still and listen to Jesus. When He was here among us, He also took time to  speak with Daddy God and Holy Spirit. We should be no different!

Turn off the distraction for a few minutes today. You’ll be amazed at what They want to say to you!

Let’s Pray:

Father, forgive us for allowing the urgent to crowd out the eternal. Holy Spirit, create in us a hunger for Your presence that surpasses our addiction to distraction. Jesus, like Mary, we choose to sit at Your feet today. Speak to our hearts in the stillness. Reveal those "great and mighty things" You long to share with us. Help us distinguish between productive purpose and pointless busyness. May our activity flow from intimacy with You rather than anxiety about performance. In Your precious name, Amen.

Today’s Decree’s

I decree that I am not too busy to hear from God—I make time for what matters most.

I declare that divine secrets and revelations are being unveiled to me as I seek His face.

I decree that like Mary, I choose the good portion that cannot be taken from me.

I declare that God's voice is clearer than the noise of this world when I position myself to listen.

I decree breakthrough in areas where I've felt God was silent—He is speaking, and I am learning to hear.

Be a Blessing,

Sir Gregory
