Confidence — “The disciples waited until they were alone with Jesus, then asked, “Why couldn’t we heal the boy?” Jesus, looking toward the Temple Mount, replied: “You failed because your confidence in God is so weak, and you are still blinded by misunderstanding. I tell you plainly, if your trust in God was even as much as a mustard seed, you could let go of your attachment to the Temple Mount and say to the mount ‘Away with you,’ and the symbolic rituals would no longer hold you back; you could do anything you want! But this type of evil is only overcome by talking with my Father.” (Matthew 17:19-21, The Remedy Bible)
We often wonder why our prayers seem unanswered. The disciples had the same problem. It wasn’t that they prayed wrong or for the wrong things. It was that they had doubt before they ever spoke a word. And sometimes we pray repeating God’s Word but don’t pray with the confidence Jesus had!
Doubt can be so subtle we don’t know its there without looking for it. Left unchecked, it negatively impacts our faith and affects how we think. I believe that if we don’t have the confidence of Jesus, we would be better off not praying at all! When start with doubt, our adversary already knows how to manipulate us into further despair!
Spending time with Daddy God will give you Jesus’ confidence and guidance in the direction you get to go.
Todays Decrees:
I declare that my confidence in Daddy God is growing stronger every day — rooted in relationship, not in religious performance or ritual!
I pray with the confidence of Jesus — not with doubt already attached, not with an exit door left open, but with genuine trust that what I ask in His name is heard and answered!
Even the smallest genuine trust is enough — I do not need a mountain of faith, I need real faith, and real faith in Daddy God moves real mountains!
I spend time with Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit — and that time is the source of the confidence that makes my prayers powerful and effective!
I give the adversary no foothold in my intercession — I approach the throne of God with confidence, not with doubt that opens the door to further despair!
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God we come to You today acknowledging the places where our confidence has been weak — where doubt arrived before the words, where the word if was attached as a way of protecting ourselves from disappointment rather than genuinely trusting You. Forgive us and redirect us. Not to a more confident performance of prayer but to the deeper relationship that produces genuine confidence as its natural fruit. Draw us into more time with You — unhurried, honest, genuinely communicating with our Father the way Jesus did. Let that time build in us the trust that even the smallest amount of which is enough to move mountains. Close every door the adversary has been using to gain a foothold through our doubt. And let us arise as a people of confident, relationship-rooted, mountain-moving prayer — talking with You the way You always intended, and receiving the guidance and confidence that only time in Your presence can produce. In Jesus' name, Amen.
