Creation — “God is on display in creation; the very fabric of visible cosmos appeals to reason. It clearly bears witness to the ever present sustaining power and intelligence of the invisible God, leaving mankind without any valid excuse to ignore Him. Yet mankind only knew Him in a philosophical religious way, from a distance, and failed to give Him credit as God. Their taking Him for granted and lack of gratitude veiled Him from them; they became absorbed in useless debates and discussions, which further darkened their understanding about themselves. Their wise conclusions only confirmed their folly.” (Romans 1:20-22, The Mirror Bible)
Jesus came and unveiled what creation had been speaking all along! Yet mankind still doesn’t seem to recognize what creation is speaking without words!
“God’s splendor is a tale that is told; His testament is written in the stars. Space itself speaks His story every day through the marvels of the heavens. His truth is on tour in the starry vault of the sky, showing His skill in creation’s craftsmanship. Each day gushes out its message to the next, night with night whispering its knowledge to all. Without a sound, without a word, without a voice being heard, Yet all the world can see its story.Everywhere its gospel is clearly read so all may know. (Psalms 19:1-4, TPT)
It’s time we stop to listen to what all creation already knows: Jesus is Lord!
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God, open our eyes to see You on display in all creation! Help us recognize that the very fabric of the visible cosmos appeals to reason and clearly bears witness to Your ever-present sustaining power and intelligence. Remove the veil from our understanding so we can hear what creation has been speaking all along. Give us hearts of gratitude that acknowledge You as God instead of taking You for granted. Help us stop and listen to what all creation already knows: Jesus is Lord! In Jesus' name, Amen.
