Daily Vitamin

Deposited — “Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by His divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing Him who has called us by name and invited us to come to Him through a glorious manifestation of His goodness.” (2 Peter 1:3, The Passion Translation)

Peter didn’t stop there. He also gave us some advice on knowing how to create a life of godliness. “So devote yourselves to lavishly supplementing your faith with goodness, and to goodness add understanding, and to understanding add the strength of self-control, and to self-control add patient endurance, and to patient endurance add godliness, and to godliness add mercy toward your brothers and sisters, and to mercy toward others add unending love. Since these virtues are already planted deep within, and you possess them in abundant supply, they will keep you from being inactive or fruitless in your pursuit of knowing Jesus Christ more intimately.” (2Peter 1:5-8, TPT)

These virtues are spiritual supplements which we get to add to our daily walk with Christ! So let’s not neglect them, just like you wouldn’t neglect taking your physical supplements.

The deposit has been made. It’s up to you to make a withdrawal!

Today’s Declaration:

Everything I need for life and godliness has already been deposited in me by God's divine power. I am not spiritually broke or lacking anything. I choose to lavishly supplement my faith with goodness, understanding, self-control, patient endurance, godliness, mercy, and unending love. These virtues are already planted deep within me in abundant supply. I will not neglect my spiritual supplements, and I will make daily withdrawals from the spiritual bank account God has filled for me.

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God! Thank You that everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by Your divine power. Help us understand that we're not lacking anything - You've already lavished upon us everything we need through knowing Jesus. Holy Spirit, show us how to make withdrawals from this spiritual bank account and supplement our faith with goodness, understanding, self-control, patient endurance, godliness, mercy, and unending love. We don't want to neglect these spiritual supplements just like we wouldn't neglect our physical health. The deposit has been made - now help us learn how to make withdrawals! In Jesus' name, Amen.
