Focus — “We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because His heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His, He endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! (Hebrews 12:2, TPT)
Jesus’ focus wasn’t on this natural realm. His focus was on the reality that we are part of His family. We look at our natural world and can’t begin to comprehend what Jesus sees.
I heard a statement recently that really touch me: “Heaven isn’t a place; it’s Jesus.” With that in mind, our focus changes from self — I get to go to Heaven — to Jesus Himself! Too much our focus is on things that are temporal, rather than on His eternal presence.
Faith gives us the ability to look upon Jesus with our spiritual eyes. There will be a day when we will see Him face to face, with the veil of this realm erased. Until that day, let’s keep our gaze focused on Jesus!
Today’s Decrees:
I decree that my spiritual eyes are wide open to see Jesus in every situation! No distraction in the natural realm can pull my gaze away from the eternal realities of His Kingdom!
I decree that I have the same focus as Jesus - my heart is set on the joy of knowing I belong to Daddy God's family! This joy sustains me through every challenge!
I decree that faith gives me supernatural vision to see beyond temporary circumstances! I perceive victory where others see defeat!
I decree that my focused gaze on Jesus transforms my heart, my mind, and my circumstances! As I keep my eyes fixed on Him, He leads me forward into faith's perfection!
Lets Pray:
Daddy God, help me to look away from the natural realm and fasten my gaze onto Jesus. Train my spiritual eyes to see what You see and to focus on eternal realities rather than temporary circumstances. Like Jesus, let my heart be focused on the joy set before me - the joy of belonging to Your family and walking in Your purposes. Remove every distraction that would steal my focus, and give me the discipline to keep my eyes fixed on Christ until that glorious day when I see Him face to face. Fill me with the same focused determination that carried Jesus through the cross, knowing that my focus shapes my faith and my faith transforms everything around me. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
Be a Blessing,
Sir Gregory
