Future — “Stop worrying about how the future will turn out, don’t weigh yourselves down with imaginary future problems that haven’t even happened yet, and trust God with your future.” (The Remedy Bible)

Many times we future-trip, worrying about things that haven’t happened yet, and forget about today. Or we get so fixated on yesterday that we forget about today. Yes, it’s good to understand our past so we don’t repeat the same mistakes!

“Jesus, the Anointed One, is always the same—yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8, TPT) Jesus is our example. He is the same no matter what season we’re in, and we should follow His example.

“So be very careful how you live, not being like those with no understanding, but live honorably with true wisdom, for we are living in evil times. Take full advantage of every day as you spend your life for His purposes.” (Ephesians 5:15-16, TPT)

Yes, we need to prepare for the future to the best of our ability! Just don’t future-trip about it. Yes, we need to understand yesterday. Just don’t worry so much that you do nothing. Let’s not get in the ditch of yesterday or the ditch of the future, but stay in today!

We have today to be like Jesus, so let’s be fully engaged in it!

Today’s Decrees:

🔥 I decree that worry over the future has no place in my life, because I trust Daddy God!

🔥 I decree that my past does not hold me back, and I walk forward in freedom!

🔥 I decree that I follow Jesus' example, and I am fully engaged in today!

🔥 I decree that every day I live is for His purposes!

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God, thank You that You hold my future and my past. Forgive me for the times I've worried about things that haven't happened or stayed stuck in yesterday. Help me trust You with what's ahead, learn what I need from what's behind, and be fully engaged in today. Thank You, Jesus, that You are always the same. Show me how to live this day for Your purposes. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Be a Blessing,

Sir Gregory
