Gifts — “Since we are approaching the end of all things, be intentional, purposeful, and self-controlled so that you can be given to prayer. Above all, constantly echo God’s intense love for one another, for love will be a canopy over a multitude of sins. Be compassionate to foreigners without complaining. Every believer has received grace gifts, so use them to serve one another as faithful stewards of the many-colored tapestry of God’s grace. For example, if you have a speaking gift, speak as though God were speaking His words through you. If you have the gift of serving, do it passionately with the strength God gives you, so that in everything God alone will be glorified through Jesus Christ. For to Him belong the power and the glory forever throughout all ages! Amen.” (1 Peter 4:7-11, TPT)
We tend to think of the gifts from Daddy God as spiritual. But what about the physical gifts? There’s the gift of hospitality, help, giving. How about the gift of friendship or visiting those in the hospital or jail. How about taking care of widows and orphans.
There is more to being a follower of Christ than going to a service a few hours a week. Our streets are filled with many that are homeless and children left to their selves. I could go on and on about what the world needs. Look around and see for yourself.
You have been given gifts. What are you doing with them?
Today’s Decrees:
🔥 I decree that I know my gifts and I use them faithfully to serve others!
🔥 I decree that my life reflects more than a few hours a week - I actively love and serve as Christ commanded!
🔥 I decree that God alone is glorified through the gifts I steward, whether in speaking or serving!
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God, thank You for the gifts You have entrusted to me. Help me to recognize them, even the ones that don't seem spiritual at first glance, and give me the courage to use them faithfully. Open my eyes to the needs around me - the homeless, the lonely, the widows and orphans - and show me how my gifts can meet those needs. May everything I do bring glory to You alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.
