Glory — “Now it came to pass, as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud. (Exodus 16:10,NKJV)

We talk a lot about the Glory of the Lord; but what is His glory?

In the Bible, glory generally refers to the manifestation of God's presence, character, and attributes which were often associated with radiant light, splendor, and weightiness. It can also denote honor, praise, and worship given to God, reflecting His inherent worth. Ultimately, according to Google, glory is the outward expression of God's inner being and the recognition of His supreme power and majesty. During the Israelite’s journey through the desert, God’s glory was represented in a pillar of cloud by day and of fire by night.

Later in the scriptures, it was explained as the very presence of Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit! Sadly by Samuel’s time, the glory has departed from their lives. (1 Samuel 4:20-21) But when Jesus came, He restored God’s glory to the earth! It came at His birth and was demonstrated throughout His life.

His glory is with us, so we get to steward it in our daily lives. Let’s not be like those of old who let God’s glory leave their presence!

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God! Thank You that Your glory appeared in the cloud for the Israelites and that same glory now dwells within us! Help us understand what Your glory truly is - the outward expression of Your inner being, Your radiant presence, character, and attributes. We don't want to be like those in Samuel's time who let Your glory depart from their lives. Thank You that Jesus restored Your glory to the earth and that now we get to steward it in our daily lives. Help us be faithful stewards who reflect Your supreme power and majesty wherever we go. Let Your glory shine through us today! In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today’s Declaratios:

I am a steward of God's glory, carrying His presence, character, and attributes wherever I go. I will not be like those of old who let God's glory depart through neglect or compromise. I recognize that His glory is the outward expression of His inner being, and I have the privilege of displaying His supreme power and majesty in my daily life. I will handle this responsibility with reverence, obedience, and gratitude, ensuring that His glory shines brightly through me.

Be a Blessing,

Sir Gregory
