Goal — “My one and only goal is to be intimately connected with Christ in heart, mind, motive, character and sympathy, to genuinely know Him and be known as His friend, to experience the eradication of selfishness and the growth of the life-giving power of His love within me, to die completely to self — and to one day experience resurrection from the dead, and life everlasting.” (Philippians 3:10-11, The Remedy Bible)
Many times we set goals in life and never reach them. Or we set them to low and there really isn’t any growth mainly because we can accomplish them in our own strength and ways.
There is always more we can learn to become more like Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. Jesus said “Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.” (Matthew 28:29-30,TPT)
Set your goals to be like Jesus and learn His ways!
Today’s Declaration’s:
I decree that my primary pursuit in life is intimate connection with Jesus Christ! Every other goal takes its proper place beneath this supreme purpose!
I decree that selfishness has no permanent home in my life! Christ's life-giving love is eradicating self-centered patterns and replacing them with His character!
I decree that I am learning Jesus' ways daily - His gentleness transforms my responses, His humility shapes my heart, and His rest sustains my soul!
I decree resurrection power at work in me right now! As I die to self, I experience new life and transformation that prepares me for life everlasting!
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God, I set my goal today on intimate connection with Christ. Help me learn His ways of gentleness, humility, and rest. Eradicate selfishness from my heart and grow the life-giving power of Your love within me. I choose to die to self and embrace the transformation You desire to bring. Thank You that this journey, though it requires surrender, is pleasant and easy to bear when I walk it with You. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
