Impossible — “Jesus responded, “What appears humanly impossible is more than possible with God. For God can do what man cannot.” (LK 18:27, The Passion Translation)

This verse is quoted often, but do we really believe it? There are many Bible stories where the impossible happens despite people’s unbelief. In Matthew, we read the story of the loaves and fishes. There were a lot of people who hadn’t eaten, so Jesus told the disciples to feed them. This seemed impossible to the disciples. But we read that Jesus thanked Daddy God for the provisions, and the two fish and five loaves fed 5,000 men plus their families! (Matt14:13-21) What about the Israelites being trapped by the Red Sea on one side and the Egyptians on the other. Rescue seemed impossible, but Daddy God told Moses to lift his rod and speak to the sea. The water divided, and the people walked across on dry land! (Exodus 14)

There are many stories about the “impossible” happening — both in ancient times and today. There are many times in our lives when we think things are impossible but God surprises us. One of my personal stories is that many years ago, we were on the verge of going bankrupt. We asked Daddy God what to do. He told us to go into real estate! The market was really slow at the time, but we obeyed and did what He had told us. Then the market quickly changed, and we were able to avoid bankruptcy. That’s just one story of many “impossibles” being possible in our lives!

How about you? Do you recognize the impossibles in your life? Do you give Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit the credit and the thanks?

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God, we come before You recognizing that we trust so many things in our daily lives without even thinking about it, yet sometimes struggle to trust You completely. Help us to see the evidence of Your trustworthiness all around us and in our own lives. Teach us to rely on You with the same confidence we have in a chair to hold us or a light switch to work. Give us hearts that are intimate with You, minds that seek Your guidance in every decision, and spirits that rest in Your faithful care. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today’s Declaration’s:

I declare that I trust in the Lord completely, with the same confidence I have in everyday things that prove reliable.

I declare that I will not rely on my own limited understanding but will seek God's guidance in every decision.

I declare that I am becoming intimate with God in whatever I do, knowing He will lead me wherever I go.

I declare that I choose humility over pride, recognizing that God's wisdom far exceeds my understanding.

I declare that my trust in God grows stronger as I experience His faithfulness in every area of my life.

Be a Blessing,

Sir Gregory
