Inheritance — “We are reintroduced to an imperishable inheritance, which has been flawlessly preserved for us in the heavenly realm, where neither Adam’s fall, nor mankind’s failure to justify themselves, could possibly contaminate, discredit or diminish the original portion of our true sonship realized in Christ Jesus. Your legitimate inheritance was guarded all along by God’s belief in you, to be fully unveiled in the conclusion of time as the perfect solution to mankind’s predicament” (1 Peter 1:4-5, The Mirror Bible)

Many people have an inheritance from either their parents or grandparents — or someone special. But it’s never a guarantee. People get mad and cut them out. Or maybe the person who has promised it, loses it or it gets stolen.

Mankind seemed to have lost their inheritance when Adam disobeyed Daddy God. They ate of the fruit that he was told not to. Jesus restored the inheritance that was allotted to mankind. But this time our inheritance was one that couldn’t be contaminated, discredited or taken from us.

You might ask, “What is this inheritance that is so special?” It’s one that is available for all people. It’s being a son of God. Being a son, we have all the rights of the Kingdom of God.

You are a child of the Creator of the universe, and no one or no thing can take that from you. (Romans 8:38-39)

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God, thank You for reintroducing us to our imperishable inheritance that has been flawlessly preserved for us in the heavenly realm. Help us understand that our true sonship in Christ Jesus cannot be contaminated, discredited, or diminished by Adam's fall or mankind's failures. We praise You that our legitimate inheritance was guarded all along by Your belief in us and will be fully unveiled as the perfect solution to mankind's predicament. Holy Spirit, help us live as children of the Creator of the universe with all the rights of Your Kingdom. In Jesus' name, Amen.

• I declare that I am reintroduced to my imperishable inheritance preserved in the heavenly realm!

• I declare that my sonship in Christ cannot be contaminated, discredited, or diminished!

• I declare that I am a child of the Creator of the universe with all Kingdom rights!

• I declare that my inheritance was guarded by God's belief in me and cannot be taken away!

• I declare that nothing in all creation can separate me from my inheritance in God's love!
