Promise Land — “Keep and live out the entire commandment that I’m commanding you today so that you’ll live and prosper and enter and own the land that God promised to your ancestors. Remember every road that God led you on for those forty years in the wilderness, pushing you to your limits, testing you so that He would know what you were made of, whether you would keep his commandments or not. He put you through hard times. He made you go hungry. Then He fed you with manna, something neither you nor your parents knew anything about, so you would learn that men and women don’t live by bread only; we live by every word that comes from God’s mouth. Your clothes didn’t wear out and your feet didn’t blister those forty years. (Deuteronomy 8:1-4, The Message Bible)

What does the Promised Land look like? I think most of us think it’s easy peazy — all comfort and no struggles. In reality, the wilderness was preparation for the Promise Land. Daddy God taught the Hebrews to not only obey His commandments but to also trust Him! He provided all their physical needs and even their clothes lasted. Once they entered into the Promised Land, the manna stopped. They had to trust what they had learned and apply it to their daily lives. Daddy God would guide them in what to do, but He didn’t do it for them anymore!

It’s the same today. We have promises, yet we need to trust where Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit are guiding us. Remember, Jesus also had a wilderness journey He needed to take!

Where are They guiding you on your journey?

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God! Help us understand that the wilderness is preparation for the Promise Land, not punishment. Thank You for every road You've led us on, even when it pushed us to our limits and tested what we were made of. Help us remember that You provided for our every need during the hard times, just like You provided manna, preserved clothing, and protected feet for the Israelites. We don't want to think the Promise Land will be "easy peeze" with all comfort and no struggles. Help us trust what we've learned in the wilderness and apply it to our daily lives in the Promise Land. Guide us clearly in where You're leading us on our journey with You, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today’s Declarations:

I understand that my wilderness experiences have been preparation for my Promise Land, not punishment. I will remember every road God has led me on and trust that He was developing my character and faith. I don't expect the Promise Land to be easy, but I'm prepared to apply what I've learned in the wilderness. I trust God's guidance in my journey and will work faithfully while He directs my steps. I know that He provides for my needs while teaching me His ways.

I decree that every wilderness experience in my life has been divine preparation for my Promise Land!

I decree that I will apply everything I've learned in hard times to my current season of blessing!

I decree that I trust God's guidance in my journey and follow His direction faithfully!

I decree that I live by every word that comes from God's mouth, not by natural provision alone!

I decree that God's supernatural provision and guidance are active in my life every day!

Be a Blessing,

Sir Gregory
