Daily Vitamin

Feed — “He will take his stand and will lead and feed his flock with the strength that comes from Yahweh and with the majesty of the name of his God. With this shepherd, they will live in safety, for his greatness will extend to the ends of the earth.” (Micah 5:4, The Passion Translation)

Jesus asked Peter three times, “Do you love Me?” Peter answered Him each time, “You know I love you.” Jesus told him, “Then feed My sheep.” (John 21) Peter got a little upset the last time. What was Jesus telling Peter to do? When we look at the word ‘feed,’ do we think of food or is there more to this? We could easily replace the word feed with shepherd, care, guide, or protect. Of course, it could also include a physical feeding, but it was a whole lot more!

We all have people who Jesus has asked us to feed. Do you know who that is in your sphere of influence? More than likely they are around you right now. It might be a co-worker or neighbor — not just friends and family. If not, ask Holy Spirit to guide you to them or to bring them into your life.

Let Jesus’ love flow through your everyday activities and feed those around you!

Lets Pray :

Daddy God! Thank You for another day to speak life into others and feed them with Your love. Help us understand that when Jesus told Peter to "feed My sheep," it meant so much more than physical food. Show us who You're asking us to feed in our sphere of influence - whether co-workers, neighbors, family, or friends. Give us the strength that comes from You and the majesty of Your name to lead, care for, guide, and protect those You've entrusted to us. Let Jesus' love flow through our everyday activities as we feed those around us with life, hope, and truth. Guide us by Holy Spirit to those who need feeding, or bring them into our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today’s Declarations:

I accept Jesus' commission to feed His sheep in my sphere of influence. I will take my stand with the strength that comes from God and the majesty of His name to lead, care for, guide, and protect those He's entrusted to me. I recognize that feeding means more than physical food - it includes shepherding, caring, guiding, and protecting. I will let Jesus' love flow through my everyday activities to feed those around me with life, hope, and truth. I ask Holy Spirit to show me who needs feeding and to bring them into my life.

I decree that I take my stand as a feeder of God's sheep with divine strength and heavenly authority!
