Serve - “If it seems wrong in your eyes to serve Yahweh, then make your decision today which gods you will worship—the gods which your ancestors worshiped in Mesopotamia or the gods which the Amorites worship in the land where you are now living—but I and my family, we will give our lives to worship and serve Yahweh!” (Joshua 24:15, the Passion Translation)
In our culture today, many don’t think they are serving other gods. Especially those who attend a church regularly would say they certainly don’t worship other gods. But let me ask you this, what has your attention most of the time? What do you think about? Where do you put your money?
See! We serve a lot of other things without even realizing it! I’m not saying that we can’t have things, just do they have you?
Ask Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit if you have hidden idols in your life. Are there things that are more important to you than They are? Then ask Them what They want you to do about it! I would venture to say that They would ask you to repent and re-establish Them as your one and only God!
They aren’t mad at you. They just want you to be in the position that They created you to be in, which is partnership with Them without losing reverence for Their Lordship.
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God, we come before You asking for honest hearts and clear vision to see what truly has our attention and devotion. Help us to recognize any hidden idols in our lives - things that may have unknowingly taken priority over our relationship with You. Give us the courage to examine our thoughts, our time, and our treasures to see what we're really serving. We don't want anything to come between us and You. Help us to repent where needed and re-establish You as our one and only God. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I declare that I choose to give my life to worship and serve Yahweh above all other gods.
I declare that I will examine my attention, thoughts, and money to see what I'm truly serving.
I declare that I will ask God to reveal any hidden idols in my life and help me remove them.
I declare that I want partnership with God that maintains proper reverence for His lordship.
I declare that I will regularly realign my priorities to keep God at the center of my life.
