Strong — “Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; He won’t leave you. Then Moses summoned Joshua. He said to him with all Israel watching, “Be strong. Take courage. You will enter the land with this people, this land that God promised their ancestors that He’d give them. You will make them the proud possessors of it. God is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; He won’t leave you. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t worry.” (Deuteronomy 31:6-8, MSG)
Daddy God told Moses to be strong and to encourage the people. Moses told Joshua to be strong and reminded him of the promises Daddy God had spoken to their ancestors.
There are many examples throughout the Bible where the people are encouraged to be strong. Being strong and courageous is vitally important today. Many of our promises are connected to being strong in faith and belief.
Here are a few verses to hold onto when your promises seem to be failing:
1 Corinthians 16:13 (ESV): "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong".
Ephesians 6:10 (NIV): "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might".
Philippians 4:13 (NIV): "I can do all things through him who strengthens me" (referring to Christ).
2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV): "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind".
As we begin 2026, let’s be strong and courageous. We will see all of our promises come to pass!
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God, as we begin this new year of 2026, we thank You for the command and promise to be strong and courageous. Help us to remember that You are striding ahead of us, right there with us, and that You won't let us down or leave us. Strengthen our faith and belief so that we can see all Your promises come to pass in our lives. Remove intimidation, fear, and worry from our hearts, and fill us with Your power, love, and sound mind. We declare that we will be strong in You and in the strength of Your might. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Today’s Declarations:
I declare that I will be strong and courageous because God is striding ahead of me and is right there with me.
I declare that I will not be intimidated or give opposition a second thought because God won't let me down or leave me.
I declare that I am strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might, not my own abilities.
I declare that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me throughout this new year.
I declare that God has given me a spirit of power, love, and sound mind, not fear.
Be a Blessing,
Sir Gregory
