Words of Encouragement

If you have been struggling with something and feeling ashamed that your willpower keeps giving out — hear this today. You were never designed to win that battle alone. The very fact that you keep trying is evidence that the longing to do what is right is still alive in you — and Paul says that longing is there. It is real. It is yours. But the power to fulfill it was never meant to come from you. It was always meant to come from Holy Spirit. So stop being hard on yourself for running out of willpower — and start calling out to the One whose power never runs out. He is not disappointed in you for being human. He is ready and waiting to be exactly what you need in exactly this moment. Call out. He is listening. And the way of escape is closer than you think.
