Daily Vitamin

Taught — “Everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in Me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in Me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!” (John 16:33, TPT)

Peace and rest are two things our society is really short of! And the  two things people strive to have more of in their lives. Jesus taught the way to rest and peace is through His teachings! For example:“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28,NKJV)

Same principle was true in the Old Testament as well: “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10, NKJV)

Rest includes being still because it’s in stillness that we find peace. The key to finding peace and rest is in the person Christ. When we seek Jesus, Holy Spirit and Daddy God, we will find the very place where peace and rest live!

They aren’t keeping peace and rest from you. They are waiting on you to come and get it!

Today’s Declaration’s:

• I declare that the peace of Jesus lives in me — not near me, not available under certain conditions, but in me right now!

• I come to Jesus with everything I am carrying — and He gives me rest freely, unconditionally, and without delay!

• I am still before Daddy God today — I let go of striving, release the noise, and know that He is God over everything I am facing!

• I am courageous in the face of trouble — because Jesus has already conquered the world and His peace in me is greater than anything around me!

• Peace and rest are not being kept from me — I turn toward the One who has been waiting for me to come, and I receive them fully today!

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God thank You for the teaching of Jesus — every word of it pointing toward the peace that lives in Him becoming the peace that lives in us. Thank You that You are not keeping peace and rest from us but waiting for us to come. Today we come — heavy laden, weary, carrying more than we were designed to carry alone. We receive the rest You give freely. We choose to be still — to let go of striving, to release the noise, to stop long enough to know that You are God over everything we are facing. Let the peace of Jesus settle in us deeply today — giving us great confidence as we rest in Him. And let the courage that comes from knowing He has already conquered the world anchor us in that peace no matter what trouble or sorrow this unbelieving world brings our way. In Jesus' name, Amen.
