Friendship — “To fake friendship is not worth it; not even for the sake of possibly winning your partner to the Lord. God dealt with each one of us uniquely and individually and connected with us regardless of our circumstances. He defines and completes your life, not your partner or lack of one. I am not just saying this in response to your questions about your specific challenges; I am equally persuaded about this in principle in all the churches.” (I Corinthians 7:16-17, The Mirror Bible)
Many times people will fake who they are or what they believe, thinking this will convince the other person to like them. Some people will even act like a friend just to get something from you. Jesus is always our friend out of His love for us and for all of creation.
“I do not communicate with you on a slave - boss basis; slaves have no clue what their Master is about to do. I talk to you as My friends telling you everything that I have heard in My conversation and intimate association with My Father. This I explain to you in the clearest possible terms.” (John 15:15, The Mirror Bible)
The Bible says there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Jesus is just like that.
Let’s be like Him and be that true friend no matter how others treat you. By being that consistent friend, you just might help others to be a friend like Jesus!
Today’s Decree’s:
🔥 I decree that authentic Kingdom friendship is rising — genuine, consistent, love-motivated connection that looks nothing like the transactional relationships the world has normalized in Jesus' name!
🔥 I decree that every wound left by fake friendship — every betrayal, every transactional relationship, every connection that evaporated when it stopped being useful — is being healed by the genuine friendship of Jesus and by the genuine friends He is placing in the lives of His people!
🔥 I decree that the body of Christ is becoming a community of true friends — no hidden agendas, no performance, no manipulation — just the open, honest, unconditional love that Jesus modeled and commanded!
🔥 I decree that the Renaissance People are friends like Jesus — constant, genuine, love-motivated, and transforming every relationship they are part of into a demonstration of what true Kingdom friendship looks like!
Lets Pray:
Daddy God thank You for being a genuine friend — for connecting with us regardless of our circumstances, for dealing with each one of us uniquely and individually, for never requiring us to perform our way into Your friendship. Thank You Jesus for calling us friends and not slaves — for sharing everything You hear from the Father with us in the clearest possible terms. Today help us be that same kind of friend to the people around us. No fake connection. No transactional warmth. No friendship that evaporates when it stops being convenient. Just the genuine, consistent, love-motivated friendship that You have always shown us — extended freely to everyone we encounter. Heal the wounds left by fake friendship in the lives of those reading this today. And make us the friend that shows someone else what true friendship finally looks like. In Jesus' name, Amen.
