Truth — “Therefore, since God, in His great mercy, has called us to be part of His spiritual health-care team, we don’t get discouraged or give up. Rather, unlike so many religious leaders, we reject secrecy, politicking, back-door deals, conniving, manipulating, deception, and we don’t make the word of God difficult to understand. On the contrary, we present the truth simply, plainly and openly so that everyone can understand, and in God’s sight, decide for themselves if this is not so” (2 Corinthians 4:1-2, The Remedy Bible)
Our world has become a place of deception where we no longer know what we should believe. History books are being changed and manipulated to make us think it was something different than what was actually true.
What is even sadder is that some of the Church operates more like an empire than Christ’s Kingdom. Paul warned the Corinthian church about this really early on. He wrote to the people in 50 AD about keeping the truth. And now a couple thousand years later, deception is still happening! We are to be living epistles where people read our lives and see Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit in them.
Our world needs more truth which naturally produces love.
Today’s Declarations:
I declare that I present truth simply, plainly, and openly, without secrecy, manipulation, or deception!
I reject the empire mindset of control and hoarded information, and I embrace the Kingdom mindset of open, humble truth!
I do not get discouraged or give up, because I operate in the light and not in secrecy!
My life is a letter that others read, and Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit are visible in how I live!
Love flows through me first, and truth follows naturally from that love!
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God, thank You for calling us to be part of Your spiritual health-care team, entrusted with truth not to hoard or manipulate, but to freely and plainly give away. Forgive us for the times secrecy, politicking, or control have crept into what should have remained open and honest. Teach us to present truth simply and plainly, trusting You with how it is received. Let our lives be letters, clearly read by everyone around us, revealing You in how we live. Let love lead in us first, and let truth follow naturally from that love. Give us endurance, that we would not get discouraged or give up, but keep walking openly in Your light. In Jesus' name, Amen.
