Understanding — “The Lord and the Spirit are one; His Lordship sanctions our freedom. A freedom from rules chiselled in stone to the voice of our redeemed design echoing in our hearts. Now, we all, with new understanding, see ourselves in Him as in a mirror. The days of window-shopping are over. In Him every face is unveiled. In gazing with wonder at the blueprint of God displayed in human form, we suddenly realize that we are looking into a mirror, where every feature of His image, articulated in Christ, is reflected within us. The Spirit of the Lord engineers this radical transformation; we are led from an inferior mind-set to the revealed endorsement of our authentic identity. From the fading glory of our own making, to the discovering of the most amazing reality that we are His glory!” (2Corinthains 3:17-18, The Mirror Bible)
Paul is teaching the family in Corinth that the veil has been removed. That allows the identity of Jesus to be reflected in us — not just our inner being but also our outer self too! Our authentic identity, who He created us to be, has always been there. But we didn’t know; we didn’t have the understanding of who we truly were.
For ages the adversary and the religious alike have tried to convince us we are something different — something less. And if less, then they have the power to keep us under their control. But Jesus came to demonstrate a different plan. A plan that set us free from being ruled by others, whether they be of a spiritual or physical nature.
If your understanding has been veiled, ask Holy Spirit to remove it permanently!
Today’s Declaration’s:
I declare that the veil has been removed — I see myself clearly in the mirror of Christ and what I see is His image reflected in me!
The days of window-shopping are over — I am not on the outside looking in, I have full access to everything Christ has made available to me!
My authentic identity has always been with me — Holy Spirit is engineering the radical transformation that brings it into full expression!
I am led from an inferior mindset to the revealed endorsement of my authentic identity — I am not less than, I am His glory!
I ask Holy Spirit to remove every remaining veil permanently — and I receive new understanding of who I truly am in Christ today!
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God thank You for removing the veil. Thank You that the days of window-shopping are over — that every face is unveiled, every identity is accessible, and every one of us has been given the extraordinary gift of seeing ourselves in the mirror of Christ. Holy Spirit remove every remaining veil today — permanently, completely, without remainder. Dismantle every inferior mindset that has kept us living as less than. Lead us from the fading glory of our own making into the most amazing reality that we are Your glory. Let the voice of our redeemed design echo so loudly in our hearts today that every lie of the adversary and every religious performance trap is drowned out completely. We want to see clearly. We want to know who we truly are. Unveil us fully today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
