Daily Vitamin

Imitating — “Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be His sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights His heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in His eyes.” (Romans 12:1-2, TPT)

The sincerest compliment we can give someone is to imitate them. Too many times we give our attention and affection to things and to people who can’t even begin to compare to Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.

The worldly culture has trained us to be selfish and self-focused — out for itself and no-one else. Even Paul saw this in his time. He explains to Timothy what the fruit of this selfish focus creates:

“They are covered with the clouds of conceit. They are loaded with controversy, and they love to argue their opinions and split hairs. The fruit of their ministry is contention, competition, and evil suspicions.” (1Timothy 6:4, TPT)

We have so many things vying for our attention. Think about all the ads and influencers on social media alone. But the only one we need to be imitating is Jesus, Daddy God and Holy Spirit!  We get to show our culture there is a better way. It’s to follow Jesus!

Today’s Decrees:

🔥 I decree that the people of God are stopping the imitation of a culture that produces contention, competition, and evil suspicions — and are being inwardly transformed into the image of the Trinity they were always designed to reflect!

🔥 I decree that Holy Spirit is performing a total reformation of thinking in the minds of believers across the earth — dismantling the ideals and opinions of culture and replacing them with the discernment of God's beautiful and perfect will!

🔥 I decree that the body of Christ is rising as living sacrifices — not dead religion but alive, surrendered, worshipping, and transforming every atmosphere they enter with the fragrance of a life that imitates Jesus!

🔥 I decree that the Renaissance People are showing their culture a better way — not through argument or noise but through the unmistakable, inwardly transformed, Christ-imitating life that Holy Spirit is producing in them every single day!

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God what a mercy it is that You invited us to imitate You. That You did not leave us to figure out on our own what a beautiful life looks like but showed us — in Jesus, through Holy Spirit, by Your Word — exactly the image worth copying. Today we surrender ourselves as living sacrifices. Not because we have it all together but because You are worth it. Do the inside work Holy Spirit — reform our thinking totally, not partially. Dismantle every cultural ideal that has been shaping us without our awareness and replace it with the discernment of Your perfect and beautiful will. Let us stop imitating what is not worth imitating and give our highest honor to the only One who is. And let the world see in us a people so thoroughly transformed that the better way is undeniable. In Jesus' name, Amen.
