Light — “This is the life-giving message we heard Him share and it’s still ringing in our ears. We now repeat His words to you: God is pure light. You will never find even a trace of darkness in Him. If we claim that we share life with Him, but keep walking in the realm of darkness, we’re fooling ourselves and not living the truth. But if we keep living in the pure light that surrounds Him, we share unbrokenfellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, continually cleanses us from all sin.  (1 John 1:5-7, TPT)

Creation needs light to thrive; we are no different. There is light from the sun that causes growth. There is another light that causes our spirit to grow; that is the light from Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.

Jesus said, “I am light to the world and those who embrace me will experience life-giving light, and they will never walk in darkness” (John 8:12, TPT)

Jesus told His listeners, “Your lives light up the world. Let others see your light from a distance, for how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop?” (Mathew 5:14, TPT)

We have light; let’s not allow the cares of this world to cover it up and hide it. We have a children’s song that goes, ‘this little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine’ — but this should be everyone’s anthem. It’s not just for the young.

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God, thank You for being pure light with no trace of darkness in You. Help us walk in Your light and experience the unbroken fellowship that comes from living in Your presence. Jesus, You are the Light of the world, and we embrace You to experience life-giving illumination that dispels all darkness from our lives. Holy Spirit, help us shine as lights in this world, not hiding our light under the cares and worries of life but letting it shine brightly for all to see. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today’s Decree’s:

• I declare that I embrace Jesus as the Light of the world and never walk in darkness!

• I declare that I walk in God's pure light and experience unbroken fellowship with Him and other believers!

• I declare that my life lights up the world like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden!

• I declare that I will not allow the cares of this world to dim the light God has placed within me!

• I declare that the blood of Jesus continually cleanses me as I walk in His marvelous light!
