Attention — “Peter and John, looking straight into the eyes of the crippled man, said, “Look at us!” Expecting a gift, he readily gave them his attention. Then Peter said, “I don’t have money, but I’ll give you this—by the power of the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk!” Peter held out his right hand to the crippled man. As he pulled the man to his feet, suddenly power surged into his crippled feet and ankles. The man jumped up, stood there for a moment stunned, and then began to walk around! As he went into the temple courts with Peter and John, he leapt for joy and shouted praises to God. (Acts 3:4-8,TPT)
What has your attention? There are many things that are vying for our attention! But are they what we really need?
This man thought he needed money, so he got the attention of Peter and John. They in turned got his attention, and gave him so much more. Daddy God got the attention of Moses, and it completely changed the course of his life!
Many times all it takes to change the course we are on is to change what has our attention. Allow Jesus, Holy Spirit and Daddy God to get your full attention and see where They will lead you!
Lets Pray:
Daddy God, help us understand what has our attention and whether it's what we truly need! Give us the wisdom to recognize when You're trying to get our attention like You did with Moses and the crippled man at the gate. Help us look straight into Your eyes and give You our full focus, expecting to receive far more than we ask or imagine. Change the course of our lives by changing what captures our attention. Lead us where You want us to go as we fix our eyes on Jesus, Holy Spirit, and You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Today’s Decree’s:
I decree that I give Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit my full attention!
I decree that my life's course changes as my attention focus changes!
I decree that I receive far more than I ask when I engage fully with God!
I decree that I recognize when God is trying to get my attention!
I decree that I don't settle for temporary fixes when God offers permanent transformation!
I decree that I follow where the Trinity leads as They have my full focus!
