Wisdom — “So wherever jealousy and selfishness are uncovered, you will also find many troubles and every kind of meanness. But the wisdom from above is always pure, filled with peace, considerate and teachable. It is filled with love and never displays prejudice or hypocrisy in any form and it always bears the beautiful harvest of righteousness! Good seeds of wisdom’s fruit will be planted with peaceful acts by those who cherish making peace. (James 3:16-18, TPT)
All of us seek wisdom. But what wisdom do we run after? The Bible uses the word wisdom 200+ times, depending on what version you’re reading. In many of these instances, there is a warning to seek wisdom from above rather than worldly wisdom! You can tell what kind of wisdom we’ve received by its fruit!
“Walk in the wisdom of God as you live before the unbelievers, and make it your duty to make Him known. Let every word you speak be drenched with grace and tempered with truth and clarity. For then you will be prepared to give a respectful answer to anyone who asks about your faith.” (Colossians 4:5-6, TPT)
In today’s culture worldwide, we have lots of disinformation — information that is false on purpose. So we truly need to be seeking Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit for
Their wisdom!
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God, help us discern between worldly wisdom and wisdom from above! Show us that wherever jealousy and selfishness are found, trouble and meanness follow, but Your wisdom is pure, peaceful, considerate, and teachable. Fill us with love that never displays prejudice or hypocrisy and always bears the beautiful harvest of righteousness. Help us walk in Your wisdom before unbelievers and make You known through grace-drenched words tempered with truth and clarity. In this age of disinformation, make us seekers of Your true wisdom above all else. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Today’s Decree’s:
decree that I seek wisdom from above, not worldly wisdom!
I decree that I reject jealousy and selfishness that produce troubles and meanness!
I decree that I embrace pure, peaceful, considerate, and teachable wisdom!
I decree that I bear the beautiful harvest of righteousness through divine wisdom!
I decree that I speak grace-drenched words tempered with truth and clarity!
I decree that my wise living creates opportunities for people to ask about my faith!
