Believe — “Jesus answered, “Do you believe simply because I told you I saw you sitting under a fig tree? You will experience even more impressive things than that! I prophesy to you eternal truth: From now on you will see an open heaven and gaze upon the Son of Man like a stairway reaching into the skye with the messengers of God climbing up and down upon Him!” (John 1:50-51, TPT)
We are all so different. Nathaniel believed because Jesus, who was not present at the time, saw him sitting under a tree. Thomas needed to see the scars in Jesus’ hands to believe. Jesus said to the disciples “follow Me,” and they dropped everything and followed. Paul was blinded for three days before he truly believed! Many believed because of the miracles He did or the words He spoke. Many more didn’t believe Him because of their religious training, even though Isaiah and many others had prophesied His coming.
Today so many don’t believe because it seems too simple or because they want more evidence! What would it take for you to believe?
Jesus proclaimed that Nathaniel was a man that had no guile in him. Let us be recognized by the unbelieving people as having no guile in us!
Lets Pray:
Daddy God, help us believe with the simplicity and authenticity of Nathaniel! Remove every religious barrier, prideful objection, and demand for more evidence that keeps us from simple faith. Give us hearts with no guile - pure, honest, and transparent before You and others. Open our spiritual eyes to see the open heaven and witness Your messengers climbing up and down upon Jesus. Help us be people of such genuine faith that unbelievers recognize our authenticity and are drawn to You through our guileless lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Today’s Decree’s:
I decree that I believe with simple, guileless faith that opens heaven to me!
I decree that I am recognized by others as having no guile or deception!
I decree that I see open heaven and God's messengers moving on my behalf!
I decree that my simple faith leads to greater demonstrations of God's power!
I decree that Jesus is my stairway connecting heaven and earth!
I decree that I don't complicate faith but trust in simple authenticity!
