Confidence — “This perfectly wise plan was destined from eternal ages and fulfilled completely in our Lord Jesus Christ, so that now we have boldness through Him, and free access as kings before the Father because of our complete confidence in Christ’s faithfulness.” (Ephesians 3:11-12, The Passion Translation)
Growing up I would hear people ask the question, “Are you going to heaven when you die?” And most people answered, “I hope so!” This would come from those claiming to be Christians. That never really settled well with me. It always seemed that either you knew or you didn’t. If you’ve accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you should be confident in Him! He told us He would never leave us. In Hebrews 13:5b it says, “‘I will never leave you, never! And I will not loosen my grip on your life!” (TPT)
So if Jesus is with us, and if we have given Him Lordship, then we should be should be confident that wherever He is so are we! The Bible is full of characters who were confident in who God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are.
God will do what He has said He will do! So don’t allow our adversary to steal your confidence!
Lets Pray:
Daddy God! Thank You for Your perfectly wise plan that was destined from eternal ages and completely fulfilled in Jesus. Help us have boldness and free access as kings before You because of our complete confidence in Christ's faithfulness. We don't want to be uncertain about our salvation, saying "I hope so" when asked about heaven. Give us settled confidence that Jesus will never leave us and will never loosen His grip on our lives. Help us be like the biblical characters who were confident in who You are - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Don't let our adversary steal our confidence in what You have promised to do! In Jesus' name, Amen.
Today’s Declarations:
I have complete confidence in Christ's faithfulness, not my own. I know that I am going to heaven because Jesus completed the work of salvation perfectly. He will never leave me and will never loosen His grip on my life. I have boldness and free access as a king before the Father because of what Jesus accomplished. I refuse to let the adversary steal my confidence in God's promises. I am secure in Christ forever.
I decree that my confidence is unshakeable because it's based on Christ's faithfulness, not my own!
I decree that I have boldness and free access as a king before the Father through Jesus!
I decree that Jesus will never leave me and will never loosen His grip on my life!
I decree that God will do everything He has promised to do in my life!
I decree that the adversary cannot steal my confidence in God's character and promises!
