Forget — “Anyone who hears the word, sees the face of their birth, as in a mirror. The difference between a mere spectator and a participator is that both of them hear the same voice and perceive in its message the face of their own genesis reflected there; they realize that they are looking at themselves, but for the one it seems just too good to be true; this person departs, and immediately forgets what manner of person they are; never giving another thought to the one they saw there in the mirror. The other is mesmerized by what they see; captivated by the effect of a law that frees them from the obligation to the old written code that restricted them to their own efforts and willpower. No distraction or contradiction can dim the impact of what is seen in the mirror concerning the law of perfect liberty that now frees one to get on with the act of living the life of their original design. They find a new spontaneous lifestyle; the poetry of practical living.” (James 1:23-25, The Mirror Bible)

Every day Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit are proclaiming throughout all creation how special you are! We can hear Their proclamation, yet the distractions of life drown it out! Just like James says, “we look into a mirror and moments later forget what we look like”!

It took a Heavenly battle for Jesus to come and provide a way for us to be freed! Read Revelation 12, and listen with your spiritual ears. Put away any perceived ideas or what religion has taught you. Ask Holy Spirit, what is happening in that chapter? Then remember what Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit are proclaiming about your identity today!

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God, we thank You that every day You are proclaiming through all creation how special we are to You. Forgive us for allowing the distractions of life to drown out Your voice declaring our true identity. Help us to be captivated by what we see when we look into the mirror of Your Word, not just casual spectators who forget moments later. Let us be mesmerized by the law of perfect liberty that frees us to live according to our original design. Open our spiritual ears to hear what You are proclaiming about who we are today, beyond what religion has taught us. In Jesus' name, Amen.
