Daily Vitamin

Gifts — “So, if you, even within the confines of an earth-bound, performance-based religious society, know to give your children excellent gifts that will only advantage them, how much more certainly will your Father give the Holy Spirit out of His limitless, heavenly resources to everyone who asks Him.” (Luke 11:13, The Mirror Bible)

The context here is about being a parent and giving our children gifts that they ask for. Most of us have read this verse like this: “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:13, NKJV)

Or in more modern terms: “If imperfect parents know how to lovingly take care of their children and give them what they need, how much more will the perfect Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit’s fullness when His children ask Him.” (Luke 11:13, TPT)

Most parents want to be the best for their children — just like Daddy God is. And although some people are evil, most of us are just imperfect and get things wrong on occasion. Sadly, our current religious institutions put harsh rules and laws on us for how we should treat our children. But godly discipline looks more like Jesus than a Pharisee.

So if we err, let’s err on the side of mercy, grace and love!

Today’s Decree’s

🔥 I decree that the people of God are breaking free from earth-bound, performance-based religious systems and stepping into the limitless, grace-saturated generosity of their Heavenly Father in Jesus' name!

🔥 I decree that Holy Spirit is being poured out in fullness on everyone who asks — no performance required, no checklist completed, no religious box ticked — just the simple ask of a child to their Father!

🔥 I decree that parents and shepherds across the earth are being released from religious obligation and restored to the grace, mercy, and love that was always meant to define how they give to and care for those entrusted to them!

🔥 I decree that the Renaissance People are a people of the grace side — erring always on the side of mercy, love, and the limitless generosity of a Father whose heavenly resources never run out!

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God thank You for being a Father who gives — not reluctantly, not conditionally, not after we have met enough requirements — but freely, generously, and out of limitless heavenly resources to everyone who asks. Forgive us for the times we have made Your gifts feel like rewards for performance rather than expressions of Your love. Free us from every earth-bound, performance-based religious system that has put conditions on what You have always given freely. Today we simply ask — pour out the fullness of Holy Spirit on us, on our children, on those we shepherd, and on everyone connected to this word. And let us give to others the same way You give to us — on the mercy side, on the grace side, on the love side — always. In Jesus' name, Amen.
