Doubting
Words of Encouragement
Beloved, if doubt has been a struggle, you are not disqualified. The father in Mark 9 didn't have perfect faith either, and Jesus met him with help, not rebuke. Daddy God isn't looking for flawless belief. He's looking for an honest heart that keeps coming to Him.
So bring Him your questions, your wavering, and your "I believe, help my unbelief." Spend time in His presence and in His Word, and let Them settle what's been tossed around. His grace is bigger than your doubts, and He delights to give you the wisdom you're asking for.
Ask
Words of Encouragement
Beloved, don't let unworthiness or a made-up mind keep you from asking Daddy God for the impossible. The invitation Ahaz refused is still open to you today, and the promise behind it has already been fulfilled through Jesus.
You don't have to approach Daddy God hesitantly, wondering if your request is too big or if you're deserving enough. Come freely. Come boldly. Ask for something so big that there's no question who answered it. Daddy God delights in showing you great and mighty things you could never discover on your own.
Gifts
Words of Encouragement
You do not have to perform your way into the gifts of your Father. You do not have to clean yourself up, check all the right boxes, or meet the standards of whatever religious system has been defining worthiness for you. The argument Jesus makes is so simple it almost feels too good to be true — if even imperfect you knows how to give good things to the people you love, how much more does your perfect Father want to give to you? The answer is immeasurably, infinitely, limitlessly more. The gift is Holy Spirit in His fullness. The requirement is simply asking. So ask today friend — not with a performance resume in hand, not with an apology for your imperfections, but with the simple open-handed trust of a child who knows their Father loves to give. Ask. And watch what limitless heavenly resources look like when they are poured out on someone who simply asked.
