Gratitude — “Most of all, I’m writing to encourage you to pray with gratitude to God. Pray for all men with all forms of prayers and requests as you intercede with intense passion. And pray for every political leader and representative, so that we would be able to live tranquil, undisturbed lives, as we worship the awe-inspiring God with pure hearts. It is pleasing to our Savior-God to pray for them. He longs for everyone to embrace His life and return to the full knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4, TPT)
Do we pray for those who are in authority because we believe it’s our duty? Or do we pray with gratitude for them, knowing Daddy God loves them as much as He loves us.
A lot of times we pray begrudgingly because we feel we ‘have to’ but in reality we ‘get to’ pray for them! If we pray with a bad attitude instead of with grace, do you believe your prayers will be answered? Be careful. Daddy God told the Israelites they didn’t need a king, but they insisted. That didn’t turn out too well.
Let’s learn to pray with a grateful heart so that others will come to a saving knowledge of who Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit truly are!
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God, transform our hearts to pray with genuine gratitude instead of grudging duty. Help us see every political leader and authority figure through Your eyes of love. Give us intense passion as we intercede for all people, especially those in positions of power. Remove any bad attitudes, bitterness, or resentment from our prayers and replace them with grace and thanksgiving. Remind us that we don't 'have to' pray - we 'get to' pray! Help our grateful prayers create an atmosphere where leaders can encounter Your truth and salvation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Today’s Declarations:
choose to pray with gratitude to God for all political leaders and representatives! I will intercede with intense passion, knowing that Daddy God loves them as much as He loves me. I don't 'have to' pray - I 'get to' partner with God in influencing nations through grateful intercession. My prayers with grace and thanksgiving create spiritual atmosphere for leaders to encounter salvation and truth. I refuse to pray with bad attitudes, bitterness, or resentment. Instead, I pray with pure hearts so that we can live tranquil, undisturbed lives as we worship our awe-inspiring God!
I decree that I pray with gratitude and intense passion for all leaders!
I decree that my prayers for authorities are pleasing to my Savior-God!
I decree that I see political leaders through God's eyes of love and grace!
I decree that my grateful intercession creates atmosphere for their salvation!
I decree that grace, not bad attitudes, flows through my prayers for leaders!
I decree that tranquil, undisturbed living is released through my faithful intercession!
