Identity — It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, He had His eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose He is working out in everything and everyone. It’s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it, found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by Holy Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.” (Ephesians 1:11-14,  MSG)

Our lives are filled with many questions. The one we keep coming back to — the one we have searched for — is ‘who am I’? We find the phrase ‘in Him’ or ‘in Christ’ roughly a 100 times throughout the New Testament. That’s not counting the times He’s in us. It’s a search that I believe we will be on throughout our lives! Partly because there are so many layers, and we go from glory to glory.

“We can all draw close to Him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into His very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18,TPT)

Let’s embrace who we are today, knowing that we are in Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. And tomorrow, we will be even more like Them!

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God, thank You for revealing our true identity "in Christ" - who we are and what we're living for. Help us understand that long before we first heard of You, You had Your eye on us with designs for glorious living. Holy Spirit, continue the work of transfiguring us into Christ's very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. Remove every veil that keeps us from seeing ourselves as You see us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today’s Decrees:

• I declare that my true identity is found "in Christ" and nowhere else!

• I declare that God had designs on me for glorious living before I ever knew Him!

• I declare that I am signed, sealed, and delivered by Holy Spirit with a secure identity!

• I declare that I move from one brighter level of glory to another as I discover who I am "in Him"!

• I declare that I embrace who I am today while anticipating who I'm becoming tomorrow!
