Imagination — “Perfect, absolute peace surrounds those whose imaginations are consumed with You; they confidently trust in You. Yes, trust in the Lord Yahweh forever and ever! For Yah, the Lord God, is your Rock of Ages!” (Isaiah 26:3-4, The Mirror Bible)
What is imagination? Many times we think of it as making stuff up. We hear people say things like, “that’s not real” or “you’re just making that up.” I looked it up. The dictionary definition is: “Imagination is the mind's ability to form new ideas, images, or concepts of things not present to the senses, blending past experiences with novel creations, and it's crucial for creativity, problem-solving, and innovation by allowing us to visualize the unreal or invent new possibilities. It's the power behind dreams, fantasies, artistic concepts, and even practical solutions, enabling humans to think beyond immediate reality.”
So our imaginations can actually create a visual possibility of who Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit truly are! Having a creative imagination is a good thing. It’s not that you are crazy, just making things up, or even letting your imagination run wild. It’s our God given ability to create.
Keep your eyes and thoughts on Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit and let Their imagination help you create a better world.
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God, we come before You asking You to sanctify our imaginations and align them with Your divine purposes. Help us see beyond the limitations of our current circumstances and envision the Kingdom realities You have prepared for us. Holy Spirit, consume our thoughts with visions of who You truly are and what You desire to accomplish through us. Transform our imagination from a source of worry or fantasy into a creative force that reflects Your heart for this world. In Jesus' name, Amen.
